M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics

Masters in Pharmaceutics is a two year full time programme offered by a number of colleges in the country. The scope for it is as good in India as it is abroad. It is important to consider this course if one is looking for a specialization in the field of pharmaceutics. The number of seats for this course across colleges is relatively few.


Eligibility Criteria
The candidate aspiring for an M.Pharm in the field of pharmaceutics is expected to have B. pharm or an equivalent degree. Some colleges may also choose to hold their own entrance exams for the same. The candidate needs to go through the prospectus of the college very thoroughly in order to be able to understand the unique requirements of each college.

The course mainly comprises of topics like preformulation, polymer sciences, stability, excipients, Quality Assurance, microencapsulation and optimization.

Most of the companies hire the post graduates through campus recruitment. The post graduates of the field have an opportunity to work in the best pharmaceutical companies as well as in hospitals and research labs.
