ESTEEMED CORRESPONDENT TREASURED PRICIPAL, HOD AND ALL MY MOST GIFTED LECTURERS AND FRIENDS, GOOD MORNING EVER ONE... IT’S MY OPPORTUNITY TODAY TO OFFER A WELCOME SPEECH ON THIS OCCASION.
I WOULD LIKE TO RAISE A TOAST TO ALL THE NEW FACES IN HERE. NEW FACES THAT WE DON’T KNOW TILL NOW, BUT WOULD WISH TO KNOW IN THE NAME OF PARTY, THAT WE CELEBRATE TO GET TO INTERACT WITH THEM.
WELL, I SPEAK ON BEHALF OF ALL THE FINAL YEAR STUDENTS HERE. JUST A FEW LINES OF HOW WE ALL FEEL AT THIS JUNCTURE. HERE I GO.
NEWNESS OR NOVELTY HAS BEEN INTRIGUING AND FASCINATING TO MAN SINCE THE NEANDERTHAL TIMES.
NOVELTY FOR US IS EXCITEMENT, SURPRISE, JOY, HOPE AND HAPPINESS, POSITIVE NESS AND PASSION. BUT MEN AS WE ALL ARE, NOVELTY TO US ALSO MEANS RISK, UNFAMILIARITY, UNCERTAINTY, FEAR, DOUBT AND DISTURBANCE.
IN THE SAME TOKEN, THE OLD AND THE ESTABLISHED STANDS FOR THE FAMILIAR AND COMFORTABLE,KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THEREFORE ABLE’, ‘MATURE AND THEREFORE TRUSTWORTHY’. BUT ALL THIS GOES WITH, ‘OUT-OF-DATE AND OUTMODED NESS’ AND ‘THE SLOW AND THE STUMPED'.
WHAT I WISH TO EXPRESS USING ALL THE ‘ADJECTIVES’ THAT I USED IS THAT THESE NEW FRIENDS IN HERE, OUR JUNIORS FOR THE COMING YEAR, SYMBOLIZE TO US THE SAME HOPE AND CHALLENGE AS NEW PLAYERS IN A CRICKET TEAM OR NEW TWISTS IN A GOOD STORY. AND WE, AS SENIORS, SHOULD IDEALLY BE THE MATURED BUNCH, A BUNCH OF GUYS AND GALS THEY COULD TRUST AND DEPEND UPON.

Honorable chief guest, respected Director, delightful Principal, and most valued lecturers and students. It’s my privilege to propose a vote of thanks on this occasion. I, on behalf of East Point College of Pharmacy and the entire fraternity, extend a very hearty vote of thanks to all speakers for grace and sharing with us your findings and opinions today.

I would like to take this opportunity to place a record our hearty thanks to our principal sir and director sir for accepting our idea of conducting fresher party 2010. And is also very much thankful to our event organizer TATHAGHAT SIR for his logistic support and guidance he has extended to all of us at this occasion.
I also extend my thanks to all my most valued lecturers, for their enormous cooperation and also radiating their glimpsing knowledge on us, in the organization of this event.
Well, all my friends, an event like this cannot happen overnight. The wheel starts rolling weeks ago. It requires planning and birds eye for details. We have been fortunate enough to be backed by a team of very motivated and dedicated staff of the institute, who knew their job and are result oriented.
I thank all the organizers to all the committees for your solitude support and make this programme happen.
